Stingrays Synchronized Swimming Club
The Wynyard Stingrays are a recreational synchronized swimming team based out of the Wynyard Swimming Pool. In the past, the Stingrays have been a part of a two month season. Beginning at the start of July, Wynyard’s synchro club has normally rounded out its season in August with a provincial competition and local gala night. It is at these water shows where the athletes get the opportunity to perform technical figures, solos, duets, and team routines. Surrounded by a healthy environment and qualified coaches, the team can be found at the swimming pool practicing technical skills, becoming stronger swimmers, and having fun as they become members of a team. In 2012, Synchro Saskatchewan registered ten swimmers from the Wynyard Club. Athletes that have continued their training into the months of September and October at Humboldt’s indoor swimming pool will compete at a province-wide competition and training camp. The camp and competition will be held in North Battleford in mid-November.
