Mayor Boylak called the meeting to order at 6:56 PM.

Prystai – that we adopt the minutes of the previous regular meeting of April 18, 2017 as circulated.

Kostyk – that we approve the following Business Licence Applications:

#358/17 2017 Carnival Days:

Prystai – that we approve temporary street closures for the Carnival Days as per the list attached hereto and advertise these closures in the Wynyard Advance/Gazette.

#359/17 Parks Crew Employment Contract:

Swinburnson – that we authorize extending the Parks crew employment period through to the end of September at an estimated cost of $9,200.

#360/17 Parks Crew Employee Rate of Pay:

Karakochuk – that we authorize hiring Bruno Bourque to the Parks Department at a Laborer Utility Level 1as per the 2017 Salaries & Wages Scale attached hereto.

#361/17 Summer Recreation Assistant Vehicle Allowance:

Prystai – that we authorize a vehicle allowance for the Summer Recreation Assistant at a rate of $150 per month until another Town of Wynyard truck can be provided.

#362/17 Summer Parks Crew Clothing Allowance:

Jordan – that we authorize a clothing allowance for the Summer Parks Crew at a rate of $150 per year.

#363/17 Swimming Pool & Drop-In Centre Signs:

Swinburnson – that we authorize purchasing signs for the Swimming Pool and Drop-In Centre at a cost of $640.00 plus taxes.

#364/17 Town of Wynyard Provincial Supper:

Swinburnson – that we authorize hosting the Town of Wynyard provincial Supper on Monday, June 19, 2017 and approve the recipients as per the list attached hereto.

#365/17 Senior’s Appreciation Week:

Kucey – that we authorize hosting Senior’s Appreciation Week June 12 to 16, 2017.

#366/17 Council Meeting Laptop:

Prystai – that we authorize purchasing a new laptop computer for the Town Office at a cost of up to $1,000.

#367/17 Hoytfox’s Report:

#368/17 Amendment to the Zoning Bylaw:

Swinburnson – that we instruct Chief Administrator Chorneyko to create a Bylaw to Amend the Zoning Bylaw to re-zone Block C, Plan 62H01991 from PS-Public Service District to R2-Residential District and Block B, Plan 101814746 from R1 to R2-Residential District.
