Call to Order:

Mayor Boylak called the meeting to order at 6:58 PM.

#232/20 Minutes:

Kucey– that we adopt the minutes of the previous regular meeting of May 5,
2020 as circulated.

#233/20 Building Permit Applications:

Kostyk– that we approve the following Building Permit Applications subject to approval of the building inspector:

#4/20 Kris & Crystal Klebeck – Prefabricated Gazebo – 501 Avenue A West – $149.40
#5/20 Goodhall Memorials – Move Shed onto Property – $5
#6/20 Jim Popadynetz – Demolish house at 511 Avenue B West – $5

Prystai – that we inform DAS Legal Protection Insurance that will file a claim to cover legal expenses if deemed necessary.

Karakochuk – that, in reference to the defeated Resolution #213/20, we reverse this resolution and instruct the Chief Administrative Officer to create a Base Tax Exemption Bylaw.

Swimburnson – that we instruct the Chief Administrative Officer to create an Extension of Time Bylaw to Complete the Financial Statements.

Swinburnson – that Bylaw #2/20, also known as a Bylaw to Provide for Exemption from Taxation, be introduced and read for the first time.

Karakochuk– that we authorize Town Superintendent Reid to sell the 2009 F-350 for a price of $11,000.

#252/20 Lots 7-8, & 9, Block 24, Plan BD498:

Swinburnson – that we erect a fence between Lots 7-8, Block 24, Plan BD498 and Town-owned Lot 9, Block 24, Plan BD498 located on Avenue A East.

Kucey– that we receive Town Superintendent Reid’s Report as presented.

#254/20 Employee Policy:

Swinburnson – that we amend the Employee Policy, as of January 1, 2021, to include a $150 Wellness Allowance to be used to promote employee physical activity.

Councillor Swinburnson declares conflict of interest due to a non-arms length relationship and leaves Council Chambers at 8:01 p.m.
#255/20 Co-operative Place Recycle Shed:

Jordan – that we hire Tim Swinburnson to repair the shed, to be used for recycling, at Co-operative Place, at a cost of $2,534.76.

Councillor Swinburnson returns to Council Chambers at 8:03 p.m.

#256/20 Memorial Arena Demolition:

Karakochuk – that we extend G.Y. Enterprises contract to demolish the Wynyard Memorial Arena by two to four weeks.

#257/20 Old Golf Clubhouse:

Prystai – that we advertise to have the old Golf Clubhouse moved off the site where it is currently located.

#258/20 Anderson’s Report:

Jordan – that we receive Director of Leisure Services Anderson’s Report as presented.

#259/20 Bylaw Enforcement Officer Report:

Kostyk– that we receive the Bylaw Enforcement Officer Report as submitted by email.
