Call to Order:

Mayor Boylak called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.

Prystai – that we adopt the minutes of the previous regular meeting of April 17, 2018 as circulated.

Kostyk – that, as recommended by Scotia McLeod, we invest $100,000 into a 30-day 1.25% GIC investment.

#249/18 Landfill Clean Wood Pile & Compost Pile Regulations:

Prystai – that we advertise in The Advance/Gazette clarifying the regulations regarding the clean wood disposed at the landfill and the requirements for using the compost pile.

Prystai – that we authorize the destruction of additional documents as per the list attached hereto.

#252/18 Recycling Agreement:

Swinburnson – that we approve the Curbside Residential Recycling Agreement between the Town of Wynyard and Easy Bin Waste Removal, that document attached hereto, and that we authorize the Mayor and Chief Administrative Officer to sign the agreement.

#253/18 Sign Corridor:

Prystai – that, since the business located at Lot 1, Block A, Plan 81H04949 is inactive, the sign corridor spot be given to the next person on the Sign Corridor waiting list.

Jordan – that we participate in the Communities in Bloom 2018 competition at a cost of $200.

#269/18 New Arena Pre-fab Building:

Jordan– that we authorize the redesign of the new arena prefab building, at a cost of $20,000, to accommodate a four-sided score clock.

#270/18: Recreation Staff Uniforms:

Jordan – that we purchase up to $5,000 of Town of Wynyard shirts and hats to be used as staff uniforms.

#271/18 Movie on Main:

Jordan – that we authorize purchasing a movie licence at a cost of $380 plus taxes to hold a Movie on Main event on June 1, 2018.

Prystai – that we instruct Chief Administrative Officer Chorneyko to create a bylaw to amend Traffic Bylaw #19/07 to remove the “Handicap Parking” area in front of Lot 32, Block 15, Plan 99H08143.
