Call to Order:

Mayor Boylak called the meeting to order at 6:55 PM.

Kucey – that we adopt the minutes of the previous regular meeting of March 6, 2018 as circulated.

Karakochuk – that we purchase an American 747 Sewer Jetting System and trailer from WestVac at a cost of $95,029.

#144/18 Cement Work:

Karakochuk – that we refer the proposed 2018 cement work list to the Public Work Committee.

#145/18 Cat 939 Crawler Loader:

Karakochuk – that we hire TLF Dirtworx to ship the 939 Cat to Finning Cat in Regina at a cost of 500.00.

#146/18 Cat Repair:

Kucey – that we authorize repair of the 939 Cat at a cost of 3,222.18 as estimated by Finning Cat.

#147/18 Employment Position:

Kucey – that we hire Geoffray Harvey as Public Works Labourer/Relief Equipment Operator at a wage as per the list attached hereto.

#148/18 Loader/Snowblade Repair:

Kucey – that we purchase a new rotator motor for the wing of the FE Loader blade from Redhead Equipment at a cost of $2,260.29.

Jordan – that we extend use of the studio space for the Art Nest Program to the end of April, 2018.

#153/18 New Recreation Complex:

Prystai – that we approve the Coat Hook Shelf change in the Monarch dressing room
from individual cubbies to one long shelf with coat hooks below resulting in a credit
of $2,500.

#154/18 Hoytfox’s Report:

Jordan – that we receive Director of Leisure Service Hoytfox’s Report as presented.

#155/18 Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers:

Prystai – that we donate $200 to Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.

#156/18 R.C.M.P.:

Swinburnson – that we keep the R.C.M.P. policing priorities the same as 2017, namely:
i) Traffic and road safety; ii) Impaired driving; iii) Youth programs;
iv) Drug reduction; v) Attention to prolific offenders;
vi) Crime reduction strategies.

#157/18 Rural Landfill Advisory Team:

Prystai – that we appoint Councillor Karakochuk and Public Works Superintendent
Melsted to the Rural Landfill Advisory Team.

#158/18 Request for Proposal – Old SARCAN Building:

Kucey – that we reject the proposal from Conley Funeral Homes for the purchase of the old SARCAN building

Prystai – that we receive and file the Correspondence as per the list attached hereto.

Jordan – that we receive Councillor Swinburnson’s Report as presented.
