Call to Order:
Mayor Armstrong called the meeting to order at 7:15 PM.
#340/10 Minutes:
Lendzyk – that we adopt the minutes of the previous meeting of June 3, 2010 as circulated.

#341/10 Business Licence Application:
Lamb – that we approve the following Business Licence application:
#58/10 – Lorne Smith – Direct Seller – $30.00

#342/10 Update Refuse Bylaw:
Kostyk – that we instruct the Administrator to update Refuse Bylaw #23/92 in order to incorporate definitive regulations for commercial enterprises.

#343/10 Accessory Buildings:
Kostyk – that, in regards to loft development in garages, we refer the issue of accessory building zoning regulations to the General Government Committee.
CARRIED
#344/10 Financial Statements:
Boylak – that we instruct the Administrator to create a bylaw to extend the legislative deadlines for the 2009 Financial Statements, as recommended by the Auditor.

#345/10 Chorneyko’s Report:
Boylak – that we receive Town Administrator Chorneyko’s Report as presented.
CARRIED
#346/10 Main Street Paving Contract:
Hordal – that we accept the recommendation of Catterall & Wright in accepting the paving contract for the Building Canada Fund Project.

#347/10 Karakochuk’s Report:
Kostyk – that we receive Town Superintendent Karakochuk’s report as presented.

#348/10 McConnell’s Report:
Hordal – that we table Director of Leisure Services McConnell’s report until his arrival.

Kostyk – that we complete the application for funding to the Provincial Government’s Mosquito Control Program.

#350/10 Building Canada Fund Main Street Project:
Lamb – that we approve the addendum to the Main Street Project as provided by Catterall & Wright Consulting Engineers.

#351/10 Land Purchase Offer:
Boylak – that we offer Block F, Plan BK1568 to Bryan and Janice Belak for $10,000 plus GST and their share of legal costs.

#352/10 Receive Correspondence:
Lendzyk – that we receive and file the correspondence as per the list attached hereto.

#353/10 Street Closure:
Lamb – that we close off Avenue C between 4th Street East and 3rd Street East from June 18 – 20, 2010 for the carnival rides.

#354/10 Wynyard Carnival:
Lamb – that we allow the Carnival Committee to use the Arena as an alternate site for the Wynyard Carnival on June 19 & 20, 2010.

#355/10 Senior’s Week Bus Service:
Kostyk – that we allow free use of the Special Services Bus for the Senior’s Week events scheduled June 21 – 25, 2010.

#356/10 Purchase Parks Mower:
Lamb – that we purchase a 1445 Parks Mower with snow blower attachment at a net cost of $20,450 from Maple Farm Equipment.

Lamb – that we purchase a Toshiba Satellite Laptop computer and software for the Recreation Department from United Sales at a cost of $1,158.

#360/10 Zoning Bylaw Amendment:
Boylak – that we instruct the Administrator to amend Zoning Bylaw #328/84 regarding regulations on sea containers whereby we adopt similar regulations as found in the Town of Kindersley’s Zoning Bylaw.

#361/10 South Hospital Land Development:
Boylak – that we offer a five year tax exemption on any unsold lots on Block E, Plan G92 beginning in 2011.

#362/10 Fire Pit Regulations:
Boylak – that we send a letter to the owner of Lot 7&8, Block 4, Plan G92 and the owner of Lot 1, Block 18, Plan G92 outlining fire pit regulations.

Lamb – that we receive the General Government report as presented by Councillor Boylak.
