Many of us on the prairies LOVE the unique taste of the Saskatoon berry. However, as our population increases and wild stands swindle, our orchard offers an attractive alternative with easily picked, high quality, commercially produced berries. Bugle Ridge Berry Farm was established in 1995 and will operate as a Saskatoon berry U-Pick. As it takes a few years after the initial planting for the trees to bear fruit, we are optimistic we will have a small amount of berries in 1997, with 1998 as the target to possibly offer U-Pick to the public. We are located 7 miles south of Dafoe on Highway #6 (look for sign next fall). The orchard is operating as part of a family business, with Glen and Claire Bolt eager to share with you a “taste of the prairie best” in the very near future. Always call first as hours vary.

LorMar Orchard, owned by Lorne & Marilynn Lazorko, opened its gates to the public in 2000 for U-pick and pre-picked fruit sales. In July, we have strawberries and Saskatoons, followed by raspberries, pin cherries, Nanking cherries, and sour cherries (pie cherries). In August, we offer chokecherries – red, black, and yellow varieties, and black currants, as well as some early apples and plums. September brings more apple varieties, along with high bush cranberries and purple grapes. We grow cucumbers, sweet corn, and potatoes for sale, and we usually have homemade jams, jellies, and syrups available. We are located just off Highway #35, 18 km’s south of Elfros. The Bakery produces a complete line of breads, buns, and pastry, all made from scratch – the old-fashioned way. Birthday, anniversary, and a wide variety of special occasion cakes are available. Computerized photo cakes are our specialty. The cafe provides good old-fashioned breakfasts starting at 5:30 a.m. right until 2:00 p.m. Homemade soup and a mini loaf, and homemade hamburgers, made from locally produced beef, are our lunchtime favorites. Lunchtime catering services are available as well as catering for suppers and special functions. The Wynyard Bakery & Cafe has seating for 50 people, and is open from 5:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday to Saturday (earlier by request during hunting season).

We are conveniently located in downtown Wynyard. Our hours of operation are 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday. We are closed Sundays and holidays. As a government agency, our hours of operation and prices of products are set and controlled by the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority. We are your headquarters for special occasion permits.
