We grow, process and sell many pedigreed seed varieties including cereals, flax, canola, peas, lentils, and mustards. We apply fungicide seed treatment and inoculants. We also process and export commercial flax, canola, mustard, peas, and lentils for human consumption, which gives us a value added product. We are major shareholders in Lakeside Processors located in Dafoe, which specializes in lentil and pea processing, employing six full time and one part time employees. Recently, we have become a grower and distributor for Performance Seeds allowing us to offer many new higher yielding varieties. Open 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday to Saturday. LorMar Orchard, owned by Lorne & Marilynn Lazorko, opened its gates to the public in 2000 for U-pick and pre-picked fruit sales. In July, we have strawberries and Saskatoons, followed by raspberries, pin cherries, Nanking cherries, and sour cherries (pie cherries). In August, we offer chokecherries – red, black, and yellow varieties, and black currants, as well as some early apples and plums. September brings more apple varieties, along with high bush cranberries and purple grapes. We grow cucumbers, sweet corn, and potatoes for sale, and we usually have homemade jams, jellies, and syrups available. We are located just off Highway #35, 18 km’s south of Elfros.
